Nikoletta Monyok: mujō, Studio 18

STUDIO 18
FRI 25TH - SAT 26TH mujō by Nikoletta Monyok
無常 (mujō): A silent film, made out of black and white photography, mainly self portraits.
Meaning: Impermanence, transience, mutability.
This film is an invitation for self discovery. The piece is a dance between the physical self, the emotional self, the concious self and the spiritual self. How it's all one being. You can see yin-yang. The feminine - masculine elements. It's just my perception of life. It attempts to question what it means to be human, it draws on the studies of Taoism, Buddhism, Shamanism and writers like John Lily, Robert Anton Wilson, Timothy Leary and many more. It's the kind of art (to quote Cesar A Cruz) : "that will comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable". Film showing times: Friday 25th 19:30/Saturday 26th 15:00, 17:00, 19:00
Welcoming music Fri 18:00 - 19:30: Paul Southcott - violin, Daisy Burt - kora, Simon Patrick McCorry - cello Solo improvised cello concert Fri 20:00 Simon McCorry
