Sean Roe Sean Roe from Sound Records has raided his personal collection and tonight he’ll play a varied selection of South African jazz classics - including tracks by Dollar Brand ( Abdullah Ibrahim) together with Kieppie Moketsi , the deranged sangoma blues of Philip Tabane , unheralded but brilliant alto saxophonist Joe Malinga and Sean Bergin and Ernst Reyseger jamming together on their jive tune “Mistakes” a personal favourite to spontaneously jump up and down to. Plenty of other rarities to enjoy in this 45 minute set!
