The Record Shop Sessions: Daniel Inzani

A new series presented by Hidden Notes and Sound Records featuring contemporary classical/avant garde artists performing out of an independent record store situated on the high street of Stroud - amidst a plethora of records, neon signs, music magazines, a till and the occasional appearance of Enid; the vinyl loving record store cat.

Daniel Inzani - a composer, pianist and producer who has recently moved to Stroud after dwelling in Bristol for the last decade. Together with his own solo material he leads the contemporary chamber quartet Spindle Ensemble and Ethio jazz/prog eight piece Tezeta, both from Bristol's experimental musical collective Bloom. He also tours internationally with Grammy nominated country soul queen Yola and rocksteady group Count Bobo, as well as collaborating with a broad range of different musical artists including Alabaster dePlume, Harriet Riley, Dubi Dolczek, Leonie Evans, Ellie Gray, Edward Penfold, Flora Curzon, Simiah and Cloudshoes. As a solo pianist Daniel focuses on his contemporary classical works, performing a mixture of his own compositions for solo piano and reworkings of pieces originally composed for Spindle Ensemble and string quartet.
